 Eve-teasers kill girl’s dad

In a shocking incident, eveteasers beat a 45-year-old man to death for objecting to them harassing his daughter, at Banjara Hills on Wednesday evening.
The victim, Rajkumar, a dealer in scrap from Udaynagar, was beaten up by Sagar, 30, and his friends following an argument.

Rajkumar was seriously injured and rushed to a private hospital, where he died within a few hours.

Banjara Hills police said that Sagar had been teasing Rajkumar’s daughter for the last few months and Rajkumar had warned him against it. The police suspects that Sagar and his friends attacked the victim in retaliation.

The incident occurred while the victim was passing by the area where Sagar and his friends were playing Holi. “Sagar put colour on Rajkumar.

When Rajkumar questioned his action, he was smeared with colour again and again after which both got into an argument,” a local source said.

When the two began fighting, Sagar’s two friends joined and started beating up Rajkumar with sticks and bricks, the police said.

“Though many were watching the incident, nobody interfered until Rajkumar fell unconscious,” sources said.

A 45-year-old man was beaten to death by eveteasers on Wednesday for objecting to them harassing his daughter, at Banjara Hills.
A few locals informed the police who rushed Rajkumar, the victim, to a private hospital, where he died.

The police immediately tracked down the accused Sagar and one of his friends, Srikant, booked them for murder under IPC Section 302 and took them into custody for further investigations.
Sources said that Sagar, who lives in the same colony as Rajkumar, used to tease Rajkumar’s 18year-old daughter and this had led to problems and tensions between them earlier.

“Sagar used to tease the girl who is doing her B.Tech. Once Rajkumar and some of his friends met Sagar and warned him of dire consequences if he carries on with teasing his daughter. Sagar seemed to have nursed a grudge against Rajkumar after that and attacked him when he got a chance,” a source from the Banjara Hills police station said.
